If there’s one thing I hate about living in the big city it is this:
Pigeons are disgusting, dirty and disturbingly not afraid of humans. That’s the worst because all animals should feel the fear of God when I walk by instead of flying at my head.
But if there is one thing I hate more than pigeons themselves it is the woman who feeds them copious amounts of corn everyday on a very busy corner of Avenida Corrientes. Why the hell does she do this? Does she really think that they need food? That they will starve? It just makes them gather directly above the sidewalk where they shit and fly around and scare the bejesus out of me twice a day. Stop it, lady. This city doesn’t need any more filthy beasts.
Speaking of ugly things, harem pants abounded today on both my walk to work and back. Paisley, 80’s print, plain colors, a veritable harem rainbow. It must be the go-to spring look for porteƱas, or maybe all of their skinny jeans are in the wash. I don’t know, but I would like to know who decided that harem pants create a nice female silhouette. Someone please explain. Also, because it rained off and on all day the harem pants weren’t improved by being tucked into rain galoshes. Fail all around.
